Graduated college. What’s next? I’ve thought about grad school long and hard, and I wanted to make my parents proud by becoming the first to receive a master’s degree. there were some things that I wanted to do in life (give back to the community and teach design, work at an agency as a designer, starting my own design business), but if I wanted to do these things I have to expand my graphic design knowledge. So, here I am.
I recently graduated college at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design in May of 2020. One of my professors who was my mentor at the time told me “why you need a Master’s degree? You have the skills. I’ve seen your work..top notch. You’ve won awards for your work…go out in the workforce and succeed.” Although he mentored me, it was still my decision at the end of the day. I still wanted more knowledge of what I admire to do. I know for a fact that Full Sail will give me the tools necessary to succeed at a MASTERY level.
What I hope to learn during my mastery journey is to have the motivation go above and beyond with what I do and an in-depth knowledge of everything graphic design Also, I want to hear from other people their thoughts, perspective, and insights about their journey and grow together as we about to start our matriculation in graduate school.
